Cork v Donegal - GAA Football All-Ireland Senior Championship Semi-FinalCORK 0-12, DONEGAL 0-10 A BAG full of wides and a better second half display from Cork saw the hosts beat All-Ireland Champions Donegal in this Division One clash.

The Donegal lads had flown to Cork for the match earlier today from Carrickfin.

But it was Cork who were flying high in the second half of this clash, as Donegal missed a hatful of chances and the Cork keeper pulled off a number of great saves – a sensational one to deny a certain goal by Ross Wherity and a even better one to deny Leo McLoone.

Donegal had led by two points at half-time, 0-05 to 0-03.

Donegal raced into an early three point lead, with McBrearty and Murphy with two before Cork’s Kieran O’Neill pointed their first of the day.

Colm O’Neill added a second for the home side before Colm McFadden earned a free kick and pointed.

Cork them suffered a blow after losing Colm O’Neill to injury.

Both sides had wasted chances with several wides.

But on the re-start, Cork were a different side altogether.

They quickly levelled the game through scores from Paul Kerrigan and Paudie Kissane.

Murphy kept Donegal in touch, but Cork soared into a 0-10 to 0-07 lead before going on to lead by five points.

To be fair Donegal did their best in the last five minutes.

Colm McFadden got them back within three points, and Murphy was dragged down as he looked certain to score a goal.

But the foul was outside the area, and McFadden took the point – followed by another a minute later.

It was too late however; Donegal regretting a host of missed chances.

And it is Cork who add to points to their league tally.
