Those clubs that secure a top FOUR place will go on and compete at the Ulster Match-Play stage of the competition.

Cruit Island has undoubtedly one of the most scenic backdrops to its course in the whole country and is regarded by many as one the best in the North-West.

There's no better venue for what promises to be a top-class and eagerly contested event.

Cruit Island captain Gerard Dickey told Donegal Daily, "Credit must first go to both our green-keepers Donal and Brian for the superb work they've put in.

"They've worked tirelessly to ensure the course is in the best possible condition it can be and that can only be a benefit to all those participating in the event.

"We've put in place a great menu for participants and it should be a great day out for all involved.

"We're delighted as a club to have the opportunity to host the event and we hope the weather stays good over the weekend.

"We wish all teams all the very best and hope they all enjoy the competition.
