Oisin Merritt, the Stranorlar man who was left fighting for his life after suffering an accident while holidaying in Spain continues to fight against the odds in an effort to make a full recovery.
Oisin suffered severe head injuries after suffering a fall while on holiday with a group of friends in the popular holiday resort Santa Ponza.
Doctors had prepared the Merritt family for the worse and had told them at one stage that the prognosis wasn't good for Oisin.
However, Oisin now dubbed the 'miracle man' made an astonishing recovery and continues to fight everyday in his efforts to make a full recovery.
The inspirational former Finn Harps youth player is determined to pull on the boots again and won't stop until he can.
His sister Tasha expressed her pride at her 'amazing little brother who celebrates his 20th birthday today.
Tasha wrote on Oisin's timeline, "A massive happy birthday to my incredible little brother and best friend.
"Words cannot even begin to describe how thankful and blessed we are to have you here with us and to be celebrating a birthday with you.
"The difference that one year made to our family, you have come through sooo much and are still continuing to fight even harder everyday pushing yourself breaking all limits even through all the pain.
"We are sooo unbelievably proud of you and how far you have come with your recovery.
"The determination and strength you show us daily is indescribable.
"You absolutely seize to amaze us every single day, our little "miracle man".
