The county team came from behind to record a sensational seven-point win over Antrim at the grounds of Drumragh Sarsfields GAA club outside Omagh today.

The Donegal girls had a very nervous first half but battled throughout to trail by just two points at the break.

And they were a completely different side in the second half as they ran at the Antrim defence over and over again.

Naomh Padraig Muff full forward Megan Havlin netted three times during a sensational second half, with star performances throughout the field.

Gaoth Dobhair's Clodagh Gallagher, who also hit the net, was in sensational form and the introduction Naomh Muire's Saoirse Bonner helped settle the Donegal side even more.

Clodagh Skelly (Moville), Ellie Barron (St Mary's Convoy) and Mary Martin (Glenfin) were solid at the back in front of the brilliant Bronagh Gallagher (N Conaill) in goals.

Rionach Giles McMenamin (Termon) and Aoibh Faulker, the captain from Moville, plugged the gaps in the half-back line, working the ball over and over again to Niamh Harkin (St Eunan's) and Mya Alcorn (Termon).

Every time they looked up they had the wonderful Amy Boyle Carr (N Conaill) available and she ran at the Antrim defence, causing havoc all over the park, in a starring performance throughout, with the vision of Sarah Harkin (Ardara) causing ructions in the Antrim defence.

Kate McClenaghan (Moville), Niamh Walsh (St Eunan's), Niamh Skelly, (Moville), and Claire Doherty (St Eunan's) all contributed to the fine win in what was a very tough battle.

Lauren Carr (Fanad Gaels) and Katherine Kelly (St Eunan's) also helped steady the ship at important times in the second half, shutting out the Antrim attack.

The game was crowned with the most glorious point from Susanne White (Killybegs) who scorched a point over the bar from all of 30 metres to give Donegal a winning score of 4-09 to 1-11.

Donegal will now represent Ulster in the All-Ireland B semi-final against the Connacht Champions on the weekend of June 13/14.
