Malin GAAADULTS MEN FOOTBALL

Division 1 football will make a welcome return to Connolly Park, and indeed Inishowen on Easter Sunday when our senior and reserve footballers take on Ardara in their opening game of the All County League. The league gets underway on Good Friday but with 9 sides competing in Division 1, we have a bye in the opening round of fixtures.

Ardara, who have Donegal defender Paddy Mc Grath in their ranks have been competing in Division 1 for a number of years, are sure to provide stiff opposition, but if we can produce something similar to the kind of displays which we turned in last season, no side will relish a clash with Malin. The reserve game is expected to have a 1.30 throw in with the senior game expected to get underway at 3, but times will be confirmed in the parish bulletin and on the club facebook page later in the week. We urge all supporters as possible to get to Connolly Park as early as possible on match days as some bumper crowds are expected.

LADIES FOOTBALL

Training for the Ladies football panel continues from 8pm to 9pm on Tuesday and Thursdays. All newcomers welcome.

CHEQUE PRESENTATION

Sunday will be a day of double celebration for the club, as prior to the throw in of our long awaited return to top flight action, the No. 1 GAA Supporter in the country Patrick Houton will collect a cheque worth €10000 on behalf on Malin GAA. Patrick was the worthy winner of the Super Valu sponsored competition where he won 2 VIP tickets for the All Ireland Football Final for himself, and netted our club €10000 after been nominated for the competition by his daughter Jacqueline earlier in the summer.

UNDERAGE BOYS

There will be no Under 6 training on Easter Sunday but it will resume as normal on the following Sunday.

Under 8 training will take place as normal on Sunday at 11 in the club sports hall.

Our Under 8 and 10 squads took part in indoor competitions in Moville and Urris over the weekend and both squads performed superbly and more importantly really enjoyed the experience.
