LETTERKENNY GOLF CLUB LADIES NOTES
2012 draws to a close and we wait for 2013 to bring new competitions, new sponsors, new winners, new members and a newly invigorated committee and ladies club. The long awaited centenary year of Letterkenny Golf Club will be rung in with a New Year’s Eve party, thus commencing a programme of events to do our club proud in 2013.
The Ladies Christmas Party was a great success with a record number of ladies attending, many going home with hampers and turkeys tucked under their oxters. The popular musician Gerry O’Sullivan was seen in Christmas attire while he entertained the ladies with his festive renditions. Those in attendance were delighted with the food presented to them but were not a bit surprised as they have grown accustomed to the high quality menu that is available on a regular basis. Huge thanks to Competition Secretary, Marian O’Sullivan, for her hard work in getting all the hampers ready and the turkeys plucked. She might even have helped her musician husband Gerry get decked out for the night. There will be a Christmas Party night in the Clubhouse on Friday 21st where you will get a chance to sample the fine food at an excellent and competitive price, booking to 9121150 necessary.
To complete 2012 there is a Front 9 and Back 9 running for all those who would like to take to the fairways.
