CLIMBING enthusiasts are wanted for a unique charity challenge which takes place this weekend with all funds raised going to The Alzheimer Society of Ireland.
The event takes place this Sunday, 28th of June and organisers are appealing for climbers to participate in the event.
Alzheimer's disease affects thousands of families all over Ireland and organisers of this event are giving people the opportunity to remember someone they know that suffers from the disease or someone who succumbed to the illness.
Organisers have used the slogan 'REMEMBER ME' for the charity event this weekend and they expect a good turnout for what is a fantastic charity organisation that does so much wonderful work and research.
Ann-Marie Doohan told Donegal Daily, "We're hoping to get a good turnout for the event and we're also hoping the weather stays good!
"It's for a fantastic cause and it gives participants the chance to remember someone that was affected by the illness or is still battling with the disease.
"Anyone interested can request a sponsorship card, but there will also be donation buckets there on the day.
