Arrangements are well advanced for the Raphoe 5k, which takes place in just over two weeks’ time on Tuesday 7th July with a 7.30pm start. Just less than 180 runners and walkers took part in last year’s race and as we are celebrating our 5th year of running the event with a reduced entry fee of €7 or £5 we are hoping for a much increased field of runners and walkers. For telephone enquiries please telephone 087 3641503 (please note change of contact number). Pre-registration is available on raphoe5k@hotmail.co.uk

St. Eunan’s National School 60 Year Celebrations
St Eunan's NS, Raphoe are celebrating their 60 year anniversary. We will be hosting the celebrations in September/ October 2015. This is a perfect opportunity to promote local history to our children in a fun and interesting way. We are looking for local people to help us organise the event and to pass on their expertise on the history of the school. If you are interested contact Anita Keeve at St Eunan's NS, on 074 91 45764. As part of this event the children are tracing past pupils all around the world and indeed Ireland. If you have a relative or friend who is a past pupil and who does not now live in Raphoe, it would be great if you could encourage them to send the students a postcard telling us about where they now live and their memories of St Eunan's NS.
Please note that items for the Raphoe Notes should be placed in the box provided in the Post Office on or before 12 noon on Fridays. Items can also be emailed to raphoefrc@eircom.net or handed in to the Family Resource Centre, William Street. Items should be submitted at least one week in advance of publication of local press.
