A Donegal bar has launched a unique service for fed-up female shoppers - a husband-sitting service!
The well-known Oasis Bar in Letterkenny is offering to look after nagging husbands while their wives or girlfriends shop their socks off.
Staff at the popular bar, which is adjacent to Letterkenny Shopping Centre, have even advertised their services on a sandwich board outside the bar.
The sign asks women shoppers if they want a bit of peace to shop or if they just need a bit of time to themselves.
They then offer the 'Daycare Centre' for husbands or boyfriends - with either a standard package of a pint of beer or a deluxe package of a whiskey!
The bar is run by husband and wife team James and Jacqui Gallagher, who formerly operated Galfees Restaurant.
A spokesman for the bar said they were just having a bit of fun but will be more than delighted to look after any husband or boyfriend who would do anything rather than go shopping!
"It's a bit of fun but we'd be delighted to look after any husband or boyfriend who hates shopping. It's more so to give their poor wives or girlfriend a bit of peace so they shop without having to be nagged or hurry all the time.
"They can have something nice to eat here from our extensive menu and they can watch all the sport they handle on our big screens.
"Everyone's a winner and everyone goes home happy," laughed a spokesman for the bar.
And with staff like sisters Breda and Kathleen McGinty, the bar is set to be packed in the coming weeks and months ahead.
