DDTV: St Michael's GAA club are set to play a starring role in a documentary programme being made about Irish golf legend Paul McGinley.
In this superb five minute trailer above McGinley talks candidly about how an injury to his kneecap ended his GAA career at the tender age of 19.
It was a devastating blow to McGinley who revealed that he felt he had the ability to play inter-county football.
He was forced to find another sport and the only other game he played that didn't involve running was golf.
McGinley only played golf during his summer holidays in Dunfanaghy.
His father Mick is originally from the scenic seaside village and the family are frequent visitors to the town.
McGinley spoke in-depth about how he loved the playing as part of a collective unit in Ryder Cup teams and that he could share his success with others.
In the clip it cuts to action taken from a St Michael's league match, and also includes behind the scenes footage from inside the dressing room.
The documentary is expected to be screened on SKY later this summer.
