BY PATSY McGONAGLE: The annual Ballyliffin Coastal Challenge, a 10 mile event round the scenic Isle of Doagh starting in the village of Ballyliffin and finishing on the stunning Pollan Beach, takes place this Saturday.
This is my invitation to you to join us at 2pm – and join hundreds of others who are ready to take the Challenge whether it’s to walk/jog or run.
Described by donegaldaily.com last year as the world’s most scenic run, it certainly is.
Once again joggers, walkers and runners are expected from throughout these islands – and all and more are welcome to join in.
An added aspect to the ocassion this year are races for primary school children simply turn up for a 2.30pm start on the beach and away you go. This addition will add to the family involvement of the entire day.
The 1K run on Pollan Beach will ensure a family occasion. This proved very popular in 2012.
Your school is invited to encourage children under your care to attend.
• No entry fee (simply turn up)
• Certificates for all
• Cream Eggs/ Easter Eggs to top 20
Races:
