Men’s Competitions
Sunday 30th August Sponsored by Eddie Walsh & Sons Family Meats.
There was a photo-finish to Sunday’s competition with the first four
places decided on a break of tie. 
Liam Gillespie finished strongest to
take 1st place ahead of Shaun Meehan with John Joe Travers and Darren
Rafferty taking 3rd and 4,th all having scores of 69. Damien Mulhern
won the gross with a 76.

Ladies Competitions
Verve sponsored the Ladies competition on the 23rd & 25th August with
35 competitors. Catherine Conneely was the winner with Lady Captain
Moragh Canney with the same score in runner up position.

The final of the inaugural doubles Match Play was contested by
Geraldine Gorman with Margaret Johnston opposite Gillian O'Callaghan
and Margaret Buckley. The winners by a margin of 4 & 2 were Gillian
and Margaret.
The Player of the Year is drawing to a conclusion with only one more
competition to be played. Margaret Trimble and Maureen Childs are both
on 57 with Dorothy Woods on 50.
Little Bullett.
26 Ladies from the club travelled to Bundoran to play in the Little
Bullet but Bundoran were the winners by 9 pts. Best for Donegal were
Miriam Bennett 34 pts, Charlotte Caldwell 34pts, Mary Walsh 34pts,
Norma Mullooly 33 pts and Bernie Finn 32pts.
Past Lady Captains.
Past Lady Captains competition is on Saturday the 5th of September
with Tee Time reserved from 1 to 2 pm and meal at 6pm. The competition
is 18 holes Stableford and the draw will be held on Tue 1st Sept. The
list is in the Ladies locker room.
3 Ball Scramble in Aid of RNLI.
The youthful team of Christopher Hegarty, Ciara O’Donnell and Damien
Mulhern won the well supported 3 Ball scramble on Friday the 29th of
August. In 2nd place were Helen Gillespie, Valerie Barry and Joe
Gillespie, with Seamus Faulkner, Aidan Faulkner and Mary Thomas in
3rd.
Social Mixed.
The Final Club Social Mixed will be held this Friday 4th September
with draws from 5.30pm.
Heart & Hips.
The 2nd Annual Heart and Hip competition in memory of Jimmy Higgins
will be played on Friday 11th September. Details in locker rooms.
