Dunfanaghy Golf Club Notes:
Another busy week at Dunfanaghy and congratulations to Leslie Sterritt on a fine score to win the Kilbrae Cup. 
Well done to Graham and Billy on their successes earlier in the week.
This weekend is the jazz and blues festival in Dunfanaghy, we have an open 4BBB (any combination) on Saturday and Sunday. Perhaps our Indian summer may have arrived by then.
Monday 14th September sees the beginning of our monthly Ladies and Gents seniors. This is a most enjoyable competition and very reasonable at an entry fee of €5 for members and €10.00 for visitors. Complimentary Tea/Coffee on arrival. Please tell all your golfing friends as everyone’s support would be greatly appreciated.
We are happy to announce that the former Ryder Cup captain Paul McGinley has kindly agreed to sponsor a trophy for our juvenile golfers. The competition will be played in a matchplay format over the coming months. We would ask that all those interested in entering the competition phone the shop and put their names on the list on or before the 13th Sept 2015. Please feel free to pass this message on to other juvenile members with GUI handicaps.
Most matches have to be played in the Challenge Cup. The committee would ask all matches be completed in the next week.

Function Room for Private parties:
We have hosted a number of private functions in the clubhouse recently and these have proved to be a great success. If you, or someone you know, is organising a private function please be aware that the clubhouse is available free of charge, with exclusive use for the occasion. So far, the feedback that we have been getting is that the golf club is the ideal venue for parties of up to one hundred people. Junior Notes;
Edward O Reilly fresh from his facebook fame led the Juveniles home last Saturday, the other winners on the day were Max Roarty, Ben King and Caolan Mc Fadden.
