MORE CHRISTMAS CHEER AS FUNDING RELEASED TO COMMUNITY GROUPS

Fine Gael’s Joe McHugh TD has confirmed that the Government has allocated lottery funding today to Donegal Centre for Independent Living; Malin Head Community Centre; and County Donegal Parents & Friends of People with Intellectual Disability Ltd.

Deputy McHugh said: ”Today the Government has announced its decision to allocate lottery funding for the health sector of €50,000 to Donegal Centre for Independent Living.

“This allocation will fund upgrades at the Donegal Centre for Independent Living to meet the needs of the organisation, at its centre on Pearse Road in Letterkenny.

“Malin Head Community Centre has been allocated €3,000, which will go towards the costs of providing a range of activities for the elderly in the area.

“County Donegal Parents & Friends of People with Intellectual Disability Ltd has been allocated €8,000 towards the costs of bathroom renovations and improving access at its centre at College Farm Road in Letterkenny.”
