Family BBQ, for all the family to be held at the Viking House Hotel Friday 3rd May at 7.30pm in aid of Relay for Life – come along for an evening guaranteed to be full of fun for all.

Naionra Enrolments.

There will be a meeting in Naionra Ailt an Chorrain on Wednesday 1st May at 6.00 pm for parents of children starting in September.

Naionra Cionn Caslach will hold their meeting on Wednesday @ 7.00 p.m. in St. Mary’s Hall.

Enrolment forms can be picked up in

“Step by Step to Feed a Child” invites people to join us for a sponsored 9 day walk (or part of) from Malin, Co Donegal to Knock Shrine in August 2013 to raise funds for & awareness of Mary’s Meals. Mary’s Meals is an international charity that sets up school feeding projects in communities where poverty and hunger prevent children from gaining an education. Over 730,000 children receive Mary’s Meals every school day in 16 countries – including Malawi, Liberia, Haiti, India and Kenya. The average cost to feed a child for a whole school year is €12.40. Letterkenny Alzheimer’s Support Group

Apostolate Of Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration

First Annual Pilgrimage to Knock on Saturday 20th April between 10am – 5pm

All adorers are invited to gather at Knock Shrine in celebration of the Year of Faith. The Apostolic Nuncio, Archbishop Charles Brown will be the chief celebrant. Every parish in Ireland is invited. Buses will be organised on a local basis. Further info by email: info@eucharisticadoration.ie

“PLAYMATTERS” aims to provide a safe suitable environment where parents/carers can engage in quality play activities together with their children throughout the week whilst simultaneously accessing information and support from their peers and child care professionals in relation to their children. The service already engages with over 30 families regularly through its Monday morning group “The ArT BoX”. “PLAYMATTERS” would like to thank everyone who helped out and/or took part in its recent fundraisers which raised a total of €347.00. If you have young children and are about the town between 10 – 12 on Mondays please feel free to drop into the ArT BoX for a bit of fun and a cup of tea.

 

St Patricks Day Fundraising in Burtonport

The St Patricks Day celebrations in Burtonport – organised by Roslyn Sharkey, Cruit, Maria Ferry, Tullyillion & Kathleen Boyle, Jackie Nicholas, Donna Dawson and Breege Ward from Keadue, raised €3800! The committee are delighted to present both the Burtonport Festival Committee and The Local Lifeboat Committee with cheques of €1900 each.

The 8th Annual celebration has been supported by the local community and the entire Rosses business Community. This year we were entertained by the Keadue and Crickamore bands, by “Cundy & Crew” & “Trad Na Nog” , Mc Nellis Cunningham/Eilish Boyle & Claire Gallagher schools of dance and the children from Acres NS. The committee thanks everyone for their continued and future support.

 

The Old Railway Walk – Easter fundraising

Thank you to everyone who supported our fundraiser which raised €530. We have training sessions every Saturday morning @10 0 clock for u8s, u10s and u12s and @11 for u13s. There is also a senior section to the club and details can be found on facebook at “Tir Chonaill RFC”. There are only a few training sessions left this season but if you or your child are interested in joining next season come along & meet us.

 

Lets Put our Hands Together

A ‘think tank’ meeting will be held in Burtonport Community Centre, Acres on Monday 15th April @ 8.30 p.m. to give the community an opportunity to express their opinions, comments, aspirations, complaints and suggestions in relation to the Burtonport area. Community groups in the area would generally appreciate your input. Chaired by David Alcorn & Brian Byrne. Also with a view to put together a coherent calendar of events organised by various groups in the area. Please come along.

 

First Holy Communion

The parents, school and parish have prepared 22 candidates who will receive their First Holy Communion next Saturday in St. Columba’s at noon.
