The Fianna Fáil Leader Micheál Martin has extended his sympathies to the family of Letterkenny Councillor Tadhg Culbert, who has died following a long illness.
Deputy Martin commented, “It is with great sadness that I learned today of Tadhg Culbert’s passing.
“On behalf of the Fianna Fáil party I want to pay tribute to a much loved colleague and well respected community activist.
“Tadhg was a valued and active member of the Fianna Fáil organisation in Letterkenny. He was well liked and respected across the political divide.
“He was deeply involved in his community and will be remembered for his strong and unwavering commitment to the people he was elected to represent,” said Deputy Martin.
Donegal Deputy Charlie McConalogue added, “Tadhg was an outgoing and engaging man, who was known for his warmth and his sense of humour.
“Despite living in Donegal for many years, Tadhg’s kept his ties with his home county Tipperary, not least through his love of Tipperary hurling.
“I want to extend my deepest sympathies to Tadhg’s family and friends at this difficult time. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.”
