A fantastic effort by locals in Rathmullan ensured that €1250 was raised as part of the national spring clean in aid of Rathmullan Habitat for Humanity Group that are travelling to Malawi in August 2013. 
The event which took place on Saturday 13th of May 2013 with support from Green Vehicle Recycling collected scrap metal from hedges, fields and beaches of Rathmullan.
Gerry of Green Vehicle Recycling said
“We were delighted to be involved with such as great Donegal community event which improves our local environment and supports a great cause all at the same time”.
“It’s a fantastic sum of money to raise especially in these difficult economic times we face, it’s a credit to everyone involved in the event and overall it’s been a resounding success”
