THE GAA has ruled that a Dublin player DIDN’T bite Donegal star Paddy McBrearty during their team’s National League clash.
The organisation said that Dublin’s Kevin O’Brien has been cleared of the biting allegation by the Central Hearings Committee.
The allegation came from their clash with Donegal in Ballybofey earlier this month.
The body had originally banned O’Brien for three matches; but his appeal has been upheld.
A statement from the GAA said that on the basis of the evidence provided and the submissions made on behalf of both parties, the allegation was “not proven.”
The Central Hearing Committee said the matter was now “closed.”
McBrearty, who was treated for a bite wound at Letterkenny General Hospital, has never spoken about the incident.
