Finn Harps slumped to their first home defeat of the season to Waterford Utd.
The game looked like it was heading for a scoreless draw until Pauric Quinn headed home a point black bullet on 78th minutes.
The goal came completely against the run of play as Harps attempted to carve openings.
After a dull start it was the home side who made most of the running with both Mickey Funston and Johnny Bonner missing good chances to put Harps on the score-sheet.
Kevin McHugh was lively throughout as he searched for openings but couldn’t find the net.
The southerners scored against the run of play as another Harps attack broke down.
A pin-point cross from Darragh Walsh found Quinn in front of his man and he rifled his header home past Ciaran Gallagher.
Harps tried desperately to equalise in the last ten minutes with McHugh again going close on two occasions.
The defeat is Harps second in three games and need to get back to winning ways or could find themselves adrift of the breaking pack.
