Congratulations to the Senior Hurlers who claimed their Ulster Táin League Div. 4 title on Saturday overcoming Pearse Óg, Louth by 2-14 to 0-08. In a great team effort, dual star Sean McVeigh top scored with 2-07 of the total. They are due back in league action this Wednesday, May 1st when they travel to take on Strabane Shamrocks in a reversed game.
The Minor boys footballers will take on rivals Gaoth Dobhair this Wednesday, May 1st in the Northern League Final in Killygordon at 7:15pm. Best of luck to Christy and the boys. Win or lose they will play their county league semi-final on Friday evening v either Dungloe or Ardara.
The Senior footballers took on Killybegs on Sunday at home and despite missing several players they grinded out a 3 point victory to move into second place in the league table on their own. They have no game this weekend. The Reserves also continued their good start to the season with another convincing victory over the Fishermen.
The Senior Ladies were narrowly beaten by Moville on Sunday and will travel to Ardara this week with day and time tbc.
The U14 Boys Div. 1 team are due to meet Sean MacCumhaills this Wednesday with both teams having already reached the Northern League Final. The Div. 2 team are away to Milford with the Div. 3 team due to be at home to Moville.
The training pitch is going to be closed for a number of weeks for repair work, please use the new area or on very wet days make alternative arrangements.
The Sunday Morning Academy is up and running again every Sunday from 11am – 12 noon.
The Friday Evening Hurling & Camogie Academy has also recommenced for 2013. New members from all over Letterkenny are welcome to join the academies.
Cúl Camps will take place in O’Donnell Park this year on July 22nd (football) and August 12th (Hurling).
There will be a Country Dance in the Clubhouse on Saturday, May 18th in aid of the U14 Boys Féile team. Tickets are just €7 and music will be provided by Country Traditions.
