Tuesday 14th St Matthias, the apostle. Chosen as “a witness to Christ’s Resurrection,” to take the place of Judas.
Wednesday 15th St Carthage (or Machuta) bishop, founder of the monastery of Lismore. Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament after Mass until 9pm.
Thursday 16th St Brendan. Born in Kerry in 486. His name is associated with many places in Kerry. He visited Scotland and reached the Hebrides and possibly areas beyond. He founded a monastery in Clonfert in 568 and died there in 578.

Friday 17th Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament after Mass until 11.30.
Saturday 18th St John I, pope and martyr. Elected pope in 523, he was the first bishop of Rome to visit Constantinople. He was caught up in the conflict generated by the Arian controversies and was imprisoned in Ravenna, where he died of starvation and thirst in 526.
Morning Mass at 9.30am. First Holy Communion Mass at 11am. An important occasion for our parish, when we hope that the community will be present in large numbers to support the children and their families and in gratitude to Our Lord for his gift of Holy Communion.

A Pentecost Walk around the churches of Moville will take place in the late afternoon of Sunday 19 May. Beginning in the Church of Ireland, calling at St. Pius X Church, the Methodist Hall and ending in the Presbyterian Church there will be Scripture readings, hymns and prayers in each location. The walk will be followed by some light refreshments in Glencrow Hall. We would like to encourage as many of our parishioners as possible to take part.
