He’s normally seen tramping the streets around Letterkenny.
But the Peter-Pan like Seamus Temple took five minutes out of his grueling jogging routine to celebrate a special birthday last night.
The well-known Glenfin man, who now calls Letterkenny home, marks his 70th birthday today.
He gathered with family and friends at his home in Crievesmith to mark the occasion.
The former community psychiatric nurse (and builder, GAA coach and gardener!) was joined by wife Mary and daughters Labhaoise, Deirdre, Fiona and son Martin on the night.
They were accompanied by a host of family, friends and neighbours.
Seamus insisted that no presents were to be bought but donations on the night were made to Donegal’s Relay for Life efforts.
After a couple of small Jamesons and water last night, he kindly gave himself the morning off from his usual jogging routine today.
No doubt he’ll be back on the roads tomorrow in advance of the Dublin Marathon in October.
There is even a rumour that his former St Eunans Under 12 team of circa 1986 have cancelled a reunion because their former manager is fitter than most of them.
Congratulations young man!
