A FAMILY has been left without drinking water again today – after their council supply turned a dirty brown colour
But it’s not the first time mother of three Siobhan Kelly has complained.
She’s had to put up with this for SIX YEARS.
“This is what Donegal county council expect me to use,” she told Donegal Daily.
“This water comes from my cold tap and yet they won’t do anything about it.
“It is unnatural in this day and that I should have to suffer this. I can’t even boil it because it is still filthy.”
Ms Kelly, who lives on the Castlefin Road in Lifford, says she is ‘fed up’ with the responses she has received from the council.
“I get told things like ‘we’ve turned the water off’ or ‘we’ve turned the water on’ and everything about pipes and this and that.
“I am tired of buying water for my children to drink. I’m a single mother and it costs a fortune,” she said.
The mother says she has already had to trash one washing machine because of the water supply.
But she says she is left seething when she’s told to boil her water.
“It doesn’t make a blind bit of difference when I boil it. It is full of grit. It looks like Fanta,” she said.
No-one from the council was available for comment today.
