Donegal have delivered a message of intent to the rest of the country following a truly impressive and clinical performance against Tyrone winning by six points on a scoreline of Donegal 2-10 Tyrone 0-10. 
Goals from Colm McFadden and Ross Wherity proved to be the crucial scores that now sees Donegal advance to the semi finals of the Ulster SFC.
Leading by two points at half time Donegal were slow out of the blocks in the 2nd half and Tyrone leveled the game early on in the half.
However, Tyrone were guilty of kicking a massive number of wides and there lack of composure in front of the posts proved fatal.
Donegal on the other hand were much more economical and composed and showed why they are All Ireland champions. 
With the score locked at 1-06 -0-09 Ross Wherity struck what proved to be the crushing blow to Tyrone following wonderful play from the hugely impressive Patrick McBrearty.
Donegal then added further scores from Michael Murphy, Rory Kavanagh and McBrearty and lead by 7 points with ten minutes remaining as they cruised to victory.
Tyrone had Joe McMahon dismissed near the end of the match after he picked up a second caution following a foul on Michael Murphy.
On the Sunday Game panelist Joe Brolly described Donegal as a machine.
“I thought the game was effectively over at half time to be honest, something extraordinary needed to happen in order for Tyrone to get back into it.”
