The county was awash with green and gold on Friday as schools and businesses from tip to toe of the county celebrated the countywide ‘Wear Your County Colours Day’ campaign in support of the 2013 Donegal GAA Senior Football Team Training Fund.
Schools and organisations ditched their shirts and ties for the day and donned their green and gold, sharing their true county colours with classmates, colleagues and friends in support of Jim and the boys.
Starting in Malin Head on Friday morning the Sam Maguire was on whistle stop tour, adding to the anticipation ahead of the most talked about game of the 2013 provincial championships as Donegal met Tyrone in the Ulster SFC quarter-final in Ballybofey yesterday.
