The Termon Senior ladies team
There’s obviously something in the water when it comes to ladies football in Donegal!
Both Termon and Gweedore won Chomórtas Peile na Gaeltachta titles today.
Termon won the senior title again, making it four in a row.
While today’s game was a lot tighter than previous finals, Termon were in control the whole way through.
In the Junior final Gweedore had to go into two periods of extra time to secure the title for the second year in a row.
At full time it stood at 2-07 a piece and after extra time it stood at Gweedore 2-12 Naomh Abán 3-09,in the second period of extra time Gweedore secured the point to win leaving the final score Gweedore 2-13 Naomh Abán 3-09. Nailbiting to the end for Gweedore supporters.
Donegal ladies football is certainly at the top in Gaeltacht competitions with now the Senior, Junior and the minor title secured by Naomh Muire last month now resting in the Hills of Donegal.
