DONEGAL County Council has again issued a warning about gorse fires after a blaze in west Donegal earlier today.
Local people – helped by a fire crew from Dungloe – helped to beat back flames near homes in Ranafast.
No-one was injured in the latest incident, but at one stage the flames were just a few dozen yards from houses.
However the council has warned that current high temperatures and stronger winds have the potential to cause serious damage to property over the coming days.
