With the beautiful weather set to continue for the weekend a large turnout for the FestiFál fancy dress 5k on Friday evening is expected.
This event has grown each year with many families taking part in the walk and runners of all ages and abilities giving it their all on the run.
Those who choose to dress up of course add a great sense of fun and colour to the occasion.
The event this year will be preceded by the official opening in the marquee by Cloughaneely’s oldest resident and the 5k will then begin before meandering it’s way through the beautiful woods of Ballyconnell.
As well as prizes for the winners there are some fantastic spot prizes for the participants, namely; membership for An Chúirt health club, a fitness and nutrition consultation with Gavin Meenan, a guided walk for four with walking.net and a €25 voucher from Kerr’s Family butchers.
All those taking part are asked to register early from 5.45pm in the marquee as the race will begin immediately after the official opening.
Entry is just €5 for Adults and €3 for kids and everyone gets a free burger afterwards at PCC where the presentation will take place.
