DONEGAL star Mark McHugh is being kept in hospital overnight.
It follows the head injury he suffered in a sickening clash during the Ulster SFC final clash with Monaghan on Sunday.
McHugh went down after a clash of heads with Monaghan’s Stephen Gollogly.
“If this day couldn’t get any worse I’m stuck in hospital for the night,” said Mark.
“But well done Monaghan! From what I can remember, 100% deserved it,” he added in a tweet from his bed a short time ago.
Mark is now unlikely to feature in Saturday’s qualifier against Laois.
After the defeat, manager Jim McGuinness said the loss of McHugh so early in the game had helped Monaghan.
“He was missed in that part of the pitch where we rely on him so much,” said Jim.
