Lotto & 100+ Club
There was no jackpot winning sequence in this weeks Lotto draw but Sean Sweeney and Anne O’Connor won €25 each in Lucky Dip. Numbers drawn were 6,4,1,2,7,5,8,3. Next weeks Lotto jackpot is €2,700. The Lotto sellers in the coming weeks are: 27th July – Tony Gallagher, 3rd August – Paddy Kelly, 10th August – Barry Bradley and 17th August – Joe Carlin.
The winner of the 100+ Club draw this week was Roisin Carragher, Monaghan who wins €100. Thanks to all for their continued support of the weekly Lotto & 100+ Club.
Seniors & Reserves
Both teams were in league action at the weekend in Downings. The reserves had a tough encounter in their game but they gave a good display despite missing a few players. Final score: Red Hughs 2-8 Downings 2-14. The seniors also found the going tough in their game and never played to their potential losing in the end by a few points. Final score: Red Hughs 1-7 Downings 1-13.
The seniors are in championship action next weekend when they take on Urris in the Junior ‘A’ Championship semi-final in Burt at 3.00pm. Best of luck to the lads and all should come out to support them in this big game.
Minor Board
Well done to the U10 teams who took part in the blitz in Downings on Friday evening last.
The club hosted the Kelloggs Cúl Camp last week with 57 children taking part. Thanks to Oisin Cannon and the coaches for a great week. Thanks to the club members who helped out with tea and tuck shop.
The U12s girls blitz was held at the club on Saturday the 20th of July with 5 teams coming to take part St Marys Convoy, St Eunans, Robert Emmets, Glenfin and McCumhaills. The Red Hughs girls played brillant in all of their games in what was a very warm morning. The next blitz for the U12 girls is on next Saturday morning in Glenfin. The girls train on Tuesday evening from 6.00 to 7.00pm. Thanks to the club members who helped with the refereeing of the games and to the ladies for the refreshments afterwards.
The U16 boys are fixed to play Convoy away this Friday 29th July at 7.30pm.
Well done to the U18 boys on a great victory over Glenfin in the preliminary round 2nd leg of the championship and they now progress to 1st round proper with 1st leg fixed for this Wednesday 24th July away to Malin at 7.30pm. All come out and support the lads.
Ulster Final
Hard luck to the Donegal senior team on their defeat by Monaghan in the Ulster Final on Sunday and good luck to them in qualifier game against Laois on Saturday.
