Finn Harps recorded their first win in eight games by a single goal over Wexford Youths at Finn Park tonight.
Not for the first time Harps can thank Kevin McHugh for making the decisive strike after he netted on 48 minutes.
The visitors started the brighter and Ciaran Gallagher denied Danny Fitzpatrick with a full-length save after just ten minutes.
However Harps, under the guidance of Sean Wizzard McGowan who was filling in for the holidaying Peter Hutton, began to get on top.
Both McHugh and Mark Forker could have broken the deadlock.
Harps did manage to go ahead when James Doherty broke well down the wing to cut back for McHugh to finish form close range.
The home side should have gone on to score more with chances falling to Mickey Funston and McHugh again.
Wexford tried to break down Harps who defended well and in the end Harps were decent value for the three points.
