Four Masters G.A.A. Club launched a fundraising draw over the weekend to aid their new Training Pitch Development Fund.
The draw will raise vitally needed monies to pay for the new training ground which has been develped at Tirchonnail Park and is presently being used.
Eamonn Gorrell, Club Chairman said,
“The addition of the new sand based pitch which has been under develoment since July 2010 has added greatly to our ability to meet the needs of our players of all ages.”
“The Club continues to grow and develop and the fundraiser will hugely contribute to our aim to sustainably meet the requirements of the 23 teams in various competitions, adult/juvenile, football, hurling and camogie.”
“For the Club to continue to provide first class facilities for everyone we need to pay off the balance of the loans drawn down to develop the training site.”
“We have significant and ongoing plans for Tirchonnail Park and our membership and supporters require nothing less.”
“We would therefore call on the community to rally behind the Club to ensure we can meet the needs of the community and deliver on our vision of continuing to have a state of the art sporting facility in the heart of the town”.
First prize in the draw is an All-Ireland Football Final Package, two tickets for the lower Cusack Stand plus €250 in cash!
There is also a raft of other prizes, including a holiday to Lisdoonvarna and 250 litres of home heating oil among a list of six major prizes.
Tickets are on sale now and are priced at €5 each or book of 5 for €20. Books will be distributed to all members, books are also on sale from committee members.
The draw will take place on Thursday 19th September 2013 in Dom’s Pier One at 9.00pm.
