Finn Harps striker Stephen O’Donnell has announced he will be leaving the club due to work committments with the Irish army.
O’Donnell recently returned to first team action a couple of weeks ago after being on the sidelines for over a year following a cruciate ligament injury last season.
The news will come as a blow to Peter Hutton as O’Donnell has undoubted quality and experience and his versatility of playing in a number of different positions would be a boost to any squad.
He showed his quality on his return against Longford Town only two weeks ago.
However due to work committments he can no longer give the committment required to play Senior football as he will be now be based in Dublin.
