30th Anniversary Celebrations
The club would like to thank everyone who came out for the 30th Anniversary celebrations last weekend.
On Thursday night a 5K Run/Walk was held which was won by Paul Toner of Letterkenny AC with a time of 16.56 with Conal McCambridge of North Belfast Harriers in second and Liam Doherty of Cranford AC in third.
On Friday night the Senior Ladies were defeated by St Eunans in a challenge match while afterwards there was a very successful and entertaining Gaelic for Mothers match against Convoy with the Milford mammys winning by the slimmest of margins.
In between games there was a Poc Fada competition which was won by Paul Murphy with Philip McGovern second and Ronan Molloy third. A Tug o’ War was also held and won by the Black and Doherty team of Paul Doherty, PJ Black, Kenny Graham, Chris Peoples, Eamonn Ferry and Pat Sweeney.
Afterwards Chinese lanterns were released from the town carpark with all proceeds going to Living Links.
The events initially scheduled for Saturday that were cancelled due to the Donegal game will now take place at a future date to be decided.
The club would like to thank everyone who helped out at the different events over the two days and to everyone who came out and enjoyed the weekend with us.

Chris Gallagher Memorial Match v Glenfin

More updates will be available closer to the time.
Lucozade Sports Club Crusade
The Club has registered to be part of this years Lucozade Sport’s Club Crusade.
I know plenty of Our Club members enjoy a bottle of Lucozade Sport before and after training and matches and what we need to do is collect bottle caps from these bottles and trade them for club gear and equipment from Azzurri.
A bottle cap collection bag will be made available in the coming days at the pitch and in the mean time we would ask anyone who would like to help the club out to hold on to their bottle caps and hand them to Barry McNulty or any team manager.

Junior Championship Semi Final
CLG BnaG 0-13 Robert Emmetts 0-8
CLG BnaG will face Urris in the Junior A championship final after a superb second half performance saw them come from two points down at half-time, to defeat Robert Emmetts in Convoy on Sunday evening.
Robert Emmetts’ physical approach caused Milford lots of problems in the first half, but Milford’s superior fitness shone through in the second period, with Christopher Barrett kicking five sublime points to lead them to the final.
Milford went into the game in high spirits after edging out Naomh Ultan in a play-off game last Saturday in Killygordon, while a last-gasp point from Michael McGlinchey booked Robert Emmetts’ place in the semi-final at the expense of Na Rossa. Emmetts took a half-time lead but Milford were rejuvenated at the start of the second half, and they soon clawed back Emmetts’ lead with Christopher Barrett (2) and David Curley pointing. Aaron McDaid’s Robert Emmetts could not cope with Milford’s speed, and they were thankful when PJ Hagan and Luke Barrett spurned good goal opportunities.
Emmetts needed a goal to lift them, and they almost got it when Dean McBrearty fisted just wide, and with ten minutes remaining, Chris Bryson found himself one on one with Caolan McGettigan, but the Milford netminder made an excellent save to deny the wing-forward.
Their misery was complete in the 60th minute, when Paddy Dooher received his marching orders for a second bookable offence, after a trip on Lorcan Friel.
Christopher Barrett and David Curley finished off the scoring for Milford in emphatic fashion to set up a final with Urris at the end of August.
CLG BnaG: Caolan McGettigan, Anthony McPaul, Connor McNulty, Cormac Friel, Enda McHugh, TJ Evesson, Manus Boyce, Lorcan Friel, Anthony Fisher,Pauric Curley, Christopher Barrett (0-6), Kevin McGee, David Curley (0-4, 1f), Cathal McGettigan (0-4 3f), Paddy Peoples. Subs: Luke Barrett for Boyce (17 mins), PJ Hagan for McGee, James Doyle for Fisher (56 mins) Tony McGettigan for McHugh (59 mins)
Junior B Championship
Burt 4-7 CLG BnaG 1-11
CLG BnaG travelled to Hibernian Park in Burt on Sunday morning for the second leg of their championship tie.
Having shipped a hefty 10 point defeat at home 6 days earlier Milford started with real purpose and worked their way into a 4 points to 1 lead approaching the last ten of the half with fine scores from Paul Fisher and Gary Helferty.
Indeed only for some wayward shooting na Galloglaigh could have found themselves further ahead.
Burt upped their performance in the last ten and caught Milford with a counter attack to score a goal completely against the run of play and despite their best efforts the boys found themselves 1-4 to 0-5 down at half time.
From the start of the second half the concession of soft goals really cost Milford and soon found themselves 3-6 to 0-7 down.
From here Milford really attacked the Burt men from the get go with Paul Fisher and Kieran Gorman dominant in Midfield, the galloping Jamie Heena, Ryan ‘Mugsy’ Ferry and Dean ‘Deano’ Burgess all causing major trouble for the Inishowen men on the flanks, but the met a Burt goal keeper in inspired form and a Peter Schmeichel type double save from Paul Fisher and James McGinley was quickly followed by a saves from Gary Helferty and again from Full Forward McGinley before Helferty finally beat the keeper with 4 minutes remaining.
All in all this was probably the team’s best performance of the year but the concession of soft goals and failing to convert their own chances coupled with Burt’s Peter Schmeichel goalkeeper cost the lads who were defeated 4-7 to 1-11.
CLG BnaG: Sean Gallagher, Dean Boyce, Dean Burgess, Jamie Heena (0-1), Ryan Ferry, Emmet Connaghan , Kerion Gorman, Paul Fisher (0-4), Kerion McHugh (0-1), Gary Helferty (1-3), Finnian Ferry, Sean McBride, James McGinley (0-2), Subs: Conall McFadden

Minor Championship – 1st Round 1st Leg
CLG BnaG 0-6 Glenswilly 2-11
CLG BnaG were well beaten in the first leg of the Minor championship quarter-final by Glenswilly on Wednesday night.
The Glen men were much hungrier than Clg BnaG and raced into a five-point lead. Kane Barrett kicked a point for na Galloglaigh, but Glenswilly struck for two goals and another four points, with the blues offering just one Barrett free in reply.
Na Galloglaigh performed much better in the second half, and won the second thirty minutes by four points to two.
Barrett scored two frees, while Kieran Sheridan and Brandon Toye also added points. CLG BnaG were best served by Caolan Bolton, Kane Barrett and Gavin Grier.
CLG BnaG: Caolan Bolton, Darragh McGettigan, Jason McConigley, Kieran Sheridan (0-1), Ryan McDaid, Brandon Toye (0-1), Luke Trearty, Dominic Hull, Myles Trearty, Finian Ferry, Jamie Heena, Emmett Conaghan, Hugh McMenamin, Kane Barrett (0-3, 2f), Gavin Grier.
