A HUMAN skull found in fishing nets off the Co Donegal coast has been sent to Dublin for forensic examination.
The skull, which had a single golden tooth, was caught in nets by fishermen in Derryness Bay off Ardara.
Gardai in Glenties have launched a formal investigation to identify the remains.
The Office of the State Pathologist is now carrying out further investigations with the help of forensic scientists.
