Letterkenny woman, Vienna White (31) is enjoying great success at the World Transplant Games in Durban, South Africa this week.
The Inishowen native has scooped two medals, a Silver in the 3000m race walk and a Bronze in the Shot Put event.
Speaking about her wins this morning, the mother of one, who now lives in Letterkenny with her husband Robbie, said: “The shot put outcome was very unexpected for me. The standard is so high here. I was hoping to do well in the 3km race walk so I am delighted with the result, being placed second, as it was hard-fought.”
The kidney transplant woman will also compete in the Javelin event in her age category (30-39 years) tomorrow, the final day of events at the World Games.
She along with the rest of the 24-strong Irish Team will fly home to Ireland on Monday, 4th August.
