FORECASTERS believe we may be in for another summer mini-heatwave.
They’re not calling it just yet….but there is a hope that a new blast of sunshine could arrive over us in a week or so.
Following a stunning few weeks of weather in July, we’ve had to contend with sunshine and showers since – including some record downpours.
Donegal faces another mixed bag of sunshine and showers this week, with the odd thunderstorm by midweek, but a warm front will increase temperatures again.
“Temperatures are likely to improve further once the fronts clear on Thursday, and we could be seeing a subdued warm pattern not quite as hot as the June or July episodes, but in the 23-25 C range, before too long,” reported meteotimes.net today.
Met Eireann is being a bit more cautious, saying that it will get warm again and “rainfall amounts” will be small from next weekend.
With varying predictions from the end of the week, we might just have to wait and see.
Predictions from Accuweather.com are giving next weekend as sunny with passing clouds, the following Monday looks like a day for the beach, before rain returns.
