Micheál Cholm Mac Giolla Easbuic spokesperson for Dungloe Action Group has today welcomed the approval of the €5.4M for works on the Dungloe/Glenties sewage project announced today by Mr.Dinney Mc Ginley.
Mac Giolla Easbuic said:
“The Dungloe Group will continue to monitor the progress of the work very closely to ensure that this work commences within a few weeks as promised.”
“We would also call on Donegal County Council to set up a Consultation Process with the people of Dungloe to outline the extent of the proposed works.”
“We would hope to have this Consultation as soon as possible.”
Minister McGinley said:
“This is a very important development for the communities of Glenties and Dungloe.”
“I am delighted that this Government has been able to include these schemes in the ongoing Water Services Investment Programme.”
“I hope now, that this process moves on as quickly as possible. Despite the difficult economic climate this allocation is a wonderful boost and I warmly welcome this announcement.”
“These works when being carried out will also have an added benefit of providing much needed work in the locality which is so important to both residents and local businesses – and the wider community of Glenties and Dungloe.”
