A CANCER support group in West Donegal is launching a new website to help people and their families afflicted by the illness.
Freddie O’Donnell, the co-founder and chairman of Coiste Scaoil Saor Ó Ailse (break free from cancer support group), said the site would compliment support services in the parishes of Gaoth Dobhair, the Rosses and Cloughaneely.
The website was established by Freddie O’Donnell & his cousin Connell Gallagher in memory of his late father Den Seamus Eoin who died of cancer aged only 57 in 1987 and his late mother Mary Chonaill.
It is now over a year since great friends Freddie O’Donnell & Aodan Gallagher co-founded coiste scaoil saor ó ailse on the 18th of July 2012 to help cancer patients and their families of the three parishes.
Before the establishment of their support group the nearest cancer support group was in Letterkenny.
The new website will be Launched at the next cancer information night in October.
