ST EUNAN’S and Buncrana will meet in this year’s Minor Division One final after Wednesday night semi-final victories.
Buncrana saw off Aodh Ruadh by just two points in a keenly contest match in Convoy which finished 1-10 to 1-08.
The victors raced into a very early lead when Darach O’Connor netted in just 20 seconds but Aodh Ruadh showed great determination to pull ahead after David McGurrin scored a goal in the final minute of the half to reduce the deficit to a point.
It was a battling second half performance by both sides, but it was Buncrana who got over the line in the end.
In the other semi-final in Lifford St Eunan’s had a more comfortable 1-18 to 2-05 victory.
Conor McEniff did the damage at the start with a well-taken goal and by half-time the Letterkenny lads were seven points ahead – 1-06 to 0-02.
Four Masters did manage two goals of their own but the ten point margin at the end was more than justified.
In the Divison 2 semi-final at O’Donnell Park Na Rossa beat Downings 3-14 to 1-10.
