Relay for Life Donegal has handed over a staggering €320,000 to the Irish Cancer society.
The event which was held in Letterkenny in May was attended by thousands.
The huge amount of money raised will go a long way in helping researchers hopefully find a cure for this wicked illness that has affected so many families in Donegal and beyond.
Chairman of the group Robert O’Connor said,
“This is due entirely to the efforts of teams, sponsors, and Donegal Public who gave us such fantastic support again this year.
“Your efforts ensure that many more lives will be saved through allowing much needed research be undertaken.
“Sincere thanks to all involved on behalf of myself and my fellow committee members,”
