GAA: RED HUGHS CLUB GEARS UP FOR CYCLE CHALLENGE

Lotto & 100+ Club

There was no jackpot winning sequence in this weeks Lotto draw but Ronan O’Kane, Liscooley matched 4 numbers 3,4,6,7 to win €50. Numbers drawn were 3,4,6,7,2,1,8,5. Next weeks Lotto jackpot is €2,900. The Lotto sellers in the coming weeks are: 31st August – Maurice O’Donnell, 7th September – Ollie Doherty, 14th September – Tommy McGlinchey and 21st September – Gerard McColgan.

The winner of the 100+ Club draw this week was Johnny Bradley, Mounthall who wins €100. Thanks to all for their continued support of the weekly Lotto & 100+ Club.

Seniors & Reserves

The reserves were in action away to Naomh Columba in Glen on Saturday and came away with a draw on scoreline of 2-7 to 2-7.

There is currently no information on fixtures for the seniors or reserves next weekend. Keep an eye on Facebook page or local press for details.

Senior Ladies

Hard luck to the senior ladies who exited the championship last week following defeat by Urris. They have one league game left away to Killybegs with the time and date yet to be confirmed.

Minor Board

The local league continues this Wednesday 28th August at 6.30pm. All help is welcome. There will be no underage training on Saturday mornings until the local league is finished.

The Jackie Noonan U16 Tournament takes place next Sunday 1st September at 1.30pm at the pitch.

Well done to the U12 girls that played at the blitz in Castlefin on Saturday morning. Next blitz is in Convoy next Saturday 31st August.

Good luck to the minor girls team who take on Convoy in Convoy this week.

Red Hughs Golf Classic

Red Hughs CLG is holding a Golf Classic on Saturday 21st September at Ballybofey & Stranorlar Golf Club sponsored by Killygordon Animal Health. Teams of four of any combination, entry at €80 per team with both ladies and gents welcome. There will be a selection of team prizes on the day with longest drive etc. All are welcome to come along and enjoy. Airtricity Meentycat Walk

The club will be taking part in the Meentycat Sponsored Walk again this year which takes place on Saturday 21st September. Sponsorhip cards are available from any member of executive.

 

Red Hughs Cycle Challenge

Red Hughs is holding a cross border cycle challenge on Sunday 15th September. Route starts at clubhouse and goes to Ballybofey, Barnes Gap, Castlederg via the Derg Line and back to the clubhouse with a total distance of approx 60km. All are welcome to take part. Registration is €10 per cyclist and registration is at clubhouse at 9.00am with cycle beginning at 10.00am.
