The U16 Hurlers reached the A League Final with a win over Aodh Ruadh in a cracking game. Having lost earlier in the season to Aodh Ruadh the lads were determined to come away from Ballyshannon with a victory. The Eunan’s boys started well but every time they took the lead Aodh Ruadh responded in kind and the sides were level at half time. However, at the start of the second half St Eunan’s quickly opened up a 6 point lead with goals from Niall O’Donnell and though Aodh Ruadh fought bravely they were never quite able to close this gap. They now play Buncrana in the Final on Thursday the 5th of September. All support welcome.
Good luck to the St Eunan’s U14 and U16 Hurlers who will represent their county in the National Blitz this Saturday in Newry, Co. Down.
