St Eunan’s Letterkenny have issued an appeal for funding to continue their close relationship with the Parents’ Association.
The Parents’ Association work with St Eunan’s to promote the Letterkenny school in every way possible which allows them to provide the best possible facilities for their students.
A statement from the college read: “The level of extra-curricular activities and student supports put in place by the College is staggering but also costly.
“We constantly strive to upgrade our facilities to provide our students with the best possible opportunities to learn in the classroom and to avail of sporting and other extra-curricular activities.
“Students compete and succeed at the highest level in sports, computing, BT Young Scientist, Scifest and National Science and Mathematics quizzes.
“Our boys have received recognition for excellent results at Junior and Senior Level including participation in Science Olympiads and Scholarships. This year we have a finalist in the Pramerica “Spirit of Community Awards.
“In recent years, your help has contributed to a complete restoration of the front pitch including a training area constructed of fibre-sand, renovation of the computer rooms, new furniture and technology in classrooms and additional support in our Science Laboratories.
“We also offer the widest range of subjects at Leaving Certificate level in the country enabling our students to prepare for life after school.
“These include Politics and Society, Leaving Certificate Physical Education and Leaving Certificate Computer Studies.
“European languages, Art, Music, Science, Business and Technical subjects. These are all supported and enhanced by contributions to our school.
“We appeal to the families of current students and to past pupils and all residents in the community to support this fundraiser.
“By signing up to this draw you will allow us to continue our good work and ensure that the College remains one of the leading schools in the country providing excellence in education for the young men of Letterkenny and surrounding areas.”
