Finn Harps reserves recorded a comprehensive victory over Kildrum Tigers last night beating the St.Johnstone based outfit 3-0 in the USL.
Kildrum have lost a huge amount of playing personnel since the club’s title hopes had ended as well as interest in the league cup with many players taking the opportunity to avail of the chance to transfer to the Donegal League.
It has left their squad bare for the remainder of the season and again has highlighted the problem of allowing players halfway through the USL season to transfer to the Donegal League leaving some clubs struggling for the rest of their season.
Harps however arrived at Station Road with an abundance of strength and depth and quality at their disposal.
Harps had first team players Johnny Bonner and Tommy McMonagle in their starting XI last night as well as recent signing Marty Owens from Sligo.
Goals from Jordy Duffy, Aaron Harkin and Emmet Coyle did the damage on the night but it was the impressive Johnny Bonner who pulled the strings all night for an impressive Harps side as they recorded an excellent victory.
