UNDER 16 DIVISION 2 LEAGUE FINAL V FANAD GAELS.
Fanad started the game better and had 2 early points on the board.
However once our lads settled we registered sum good points and should have had more but for wayward shooting Indeed a goal chance also went a begging Halftime we led 5.4 with Nathan Gavigan having a big influence.
Early in the 2nd half we scored a few points 2 put 4 between the teams at 1 stage. The lads were working hard all over the pitch and were on top 4 a good period.
With the game slipping away, the Fanad boys rallied and came back 2 within 1 pt. Sum great defending stopped them from scoring a goal.
With the game finely balanced our lads showed great character 2 score several more points in the closing minutes to run out convincing winners 0-14 0-08.
Well done Maurice, Denis and all the lads.
UNDER 16 HURLING LEAGUE FINAL V CARNDONAGH
Mac Cumhaills took on Carndonagh in the league final in Buncrana last Thursday night. Mac Cumhaills started well and soon dominated this game.
They took early goal chances and showed real spirit and enterprise. Mac Cumhaills went into the break eleven points up.
Mac Cumhaills took their foot of the pedal in the second half and allowed Carndonagh back into the game.
However in spite of the onslaught from Carns midfield, the mac Cumhaills defense helf fast and secured a one point victory and the shield.
Final score was Sean mac Cumhaills 4-08 Carndonagh 2-13.
Well done to Jamsie and all the lads.
These lads will have no time to enjoy the victory as they are playing the Championship semi final against Setanta in Mac Cumhaill Park this Thursday evening.

UNDER 12 HURLING.
The under 12′s took on Letterkenny Gaels in Mac Cumhaill Park on Thursday night. The boys were always in control of the game and enjoyed an overwhelming win.
Playing with heart and passion, the home team gave a great display of hurling in front of the delighted crowd.
We had scores from every position on the field and won comfortably. The U12′s now look forward to the final match of the season against Setanta in the Cross next Thursday evening.
SENIOR/ RESERVE FOOTBALL V REALT NA MARA
Sean Mac Cumhaills took on Realt na Mara in Mac Cumhaill Park last night. There was only a point separating these teams in the league.
The Bundoran men opened their account in the first min with a point. Mac Cumhaills responded with a point from Aaron Kelly and a goal from Brian Lafferty in the 11min gave Mac Cumaills the initiative.
The two teams traded points but another goal for Mac Cumhaills from Benny Mc Loughlin gave Mac Cumhaills the lead at half time.

Bundoran got the better start in the second half and quickly scored a goal. Mac Cumhaills again responded well and rattled off some great scores from Benny Mc Loughlin, Brian Lafferty and a brilliant individual point from corner back Eoghan Wright.
Bundoran never lay down though and it was a tense few final minutes as they threw everybody forward. Mac Cumhaills held out and took the points in this well deserved victory.

The game was played at a very high tempo, with no quarter asked or given. it was a very physical game with resulted in a number of yellow cards been brandished and two red for Mac Cumhaills(both second yellows).
Mac Cumhaills deserved this win as they were the better team of the two teams. Best wishes on a speedy return to Aaron Kelly who sustained a serious knee injury.

The Reserves had a comprehensive victory over Bundoran. Final score was 3-15 to 1-06.
UNDER 13 FOOTBALL.
The “A” team travelled to O Donnell Park on Sunday morning to take on St Eunans. This was a highly entertaining game with some great passages of play from both teams.
St Eunans opened their account in the first min but Mac Cumhaills settled quicker and after 10 mins were 2-03 to 0-03 up. Goals from Chad Mc Sorley and Anthony Bruton giving Mac Cumhaills the advantage.
Mac Cumhaills dominated the rest of the half with some great scores Jaime Keegan, Alex Mc Geehan, Anthony Gallager and Oisin Gallen. Mac Cumhaills were 5-07 to 2-05 at half time.
The second half started much slower and but after about 10 mins Mac Cumhaills again took control.
Two more goals from Oisin Gallen, who finished with 3-04, and points from Luke Gavigan, Jaime Keegan, Anthony Bruton gave Mac Cumhaills a well derserved win in this 12 goal thriller. It was a great performance from all the players 1-16.
Final score was 7-14 to 5-08.

Mac Cumhaills started brightly and scored 7 points without reply and were in total control of the match at this stage.
However Red Hughs stuck back scoring two goals in quick succession followed by a point. Half time whistle blew leaving the game level.
On the re start Red Hughs scored two points and a goal Mac Cumhaills replied with a number of points and a long range goal.
With only three minutes Red Hughs were looking the likely winners of this match as they were 3 points ahead, but Mac Cumhaills dug deep and kept attacking scoring the winning point with the last kick of the game.
Final Score Sean Mac Cumhaills 1-14 Red Hughs 4-4.
UNDER 12 GIRLS FOOTBALL.
Mac Cumhaills hosted an Under 12′s blitz on Saturday morning. Teams from Convoy, St Eunans, Red Hughs and Glenfin all attended.
Weather conditions were atrocious but that didn’t determine the 18 girls that turned out for us.
MAC CUMHAILLS 5K WALK/RUN
Thanks to everybody that took part in the Run/Walk on Friday night. We had 172 entrants in the race.
Thanks to all the stewards, time keepers, tea ladies and to everybody that helped out in anyway. You all made the race the success it was.
AIRTRICITY WALK.
The annual Airtricity walk around the windmills will take place on 28th Sept. This is a massive fundraiser for the Minor Board.
