*Ulster Junior Club Championship*
Antrim (TBC) v Donegal (CLG BnaG)
TBC, Sunday 3rd November @ TBC
The Ulster Junior Club Championship was redrawn at an Ulster GAA CCC meeting last week after it was discovered that our original opponents, Fermanagh, did not have a Junior Championship.
Therefore the competition was redrawn and the Seniors have now been drawn to play away to the Antrim champions.
The Semi Finals of the Antrim Championship were played at the weekend and St Malachys will play Michael Davitts in the Final
*Financial Times Talks to CLG BnaG*
On Tuesday past Jamie Smyth, Ireland Correspondent for the Financial Times, came to our Senior training to discuss the effects emigration has had on teams like ourselves.
Jamie’s piece is on how Dublin is showing signs of recovery yet rural Ireland still struggles with emigration.
We are only a small part of Jamie’s article but it’s never bad to feature in such a prestigious and global medium such as the Financial Times!
The video should be available from the FT website early next week, and in the paper soon after.
Jamie spoke to Chairman Pat Curley about the issue as well as Senior players Anthony McPaul and Lorcan Friel who are due to emigrate next week, as well as Chris Bradley, who emigrated 2 years ago and is home for the next few weeks.
*Seniors*
Urris 1-14 CLG BnaG 2-11
The Seniors secured a vital point away to fellow promotion chasers Urris on Saturday evening. After getting off to a wonder start when TJ Evesson scored a goal after 2 minutes the side struggled to play their usual brand of football on the narrow Urris pitch and went in at half time level at 1-9 a piece, although Urris were reduced to 14 men when their half forward received two yellow cards in 3 minutes just moments before the break.
Na Gallaglaigh really struggled to break down the dogged Urris resistance and it took a late Lorcan Friel goal with 2 minutes remaining to draw the sides level.
The players and management would also like to wish Anthony McPaul and Lorcan Friel the very best of luck as they emigrate to Canada this week alongside Milford man Darren McLaughlin for work.
Team: Caolan Mc Gettigan, Sean Black, Anthony Mc Paul, Cormac Friel, Enda McHugh, Tj Evesson (1-0), Manus Boyce, Luke Barrett, Lorcan Friel (1-0), Tony McNamee, Cathal McGettigan (0-5), James Doyle, David Curley (0-5), Pauric Curley (0-1), Paddy Peoples. Subs: Conor McNulty for Boyce (40m), Chippie Barrett for Doyle (45m), PJ Hagan for McNamee (50m), Sean Gallagher, Dean Burgess, Paul Grier, Paul Sweeney
*Ladies Ulster Intermediate Club Championship*
The Ladies are scheduled to play at home to Mayobridge, the Down Intermediate Champions, on Sunday the 6th of October.
Should they win this clash they will play the winners of Tyrone and Cavan in the Semi Final.
Needless to say this is a huge game for the club and with the game scheduled to be at home it is hoped that we get as much support as possible down to get behind the team.
*Scor*
A short meeting to make plans for the forthcoming Scor Semi-Final will be held in the Clubhouse on Tuesday night, 24th sept at 9pm. It is important that everyone attends.

*U10 Parish League*
The long awaited Parish League continued last Friday evening with 4 very competitive and evenly matched games.
There was a very high standard of football played and we can expect more of the same for the next 2 weeks, culminating in the finals day on Saturday October 5th which coincides with the opening of the new stand.
Could all parents please ensure that your children are at the pitch ready to play at 6.00pm every Friday as any absenteeism weakens the teams. The rules are the same as other years with goals and points counting as one score.
Blocks are worth one score and any score from the weaker foot is worth two scores.
