A total of five people went missing after a major search and rescue mission on Muckish overnight.
A call was made to the Donegal Mountain Rescue team after two men and a teenager went missing during a hike just after 9pm.
The group had left to climb Muckish at 5pm and got caught in intermittent swirling mists on top with darkness falling.
A total of 15 responders and two search dogs were deployed to he mountain.
Phone contact was made with the missing group after the DMRT vehicle reached the scene just before 11pm.
However two other people, believed to be friends of the missing trio, then went missing temporarily before being located.
All three of the original missing party were then located as were the other missing group.
The rescue team were then stood down just after 1am when the rescue mission was completed.
The only injury reported was a slight knee injury which was suffered by a 15 year old teenager.
It is understood the boy has made a full recovery.
A spokesman for Donegal Mountain Rescue said the mission as a success after all missing persons were located.
