The Finn Valley club will host a 10k event for those who wish to run/walk in memory of anyone who has passed away or indeed are presently suffering on November 24th.
November historically and traditionally is a period which we in Ireland have set aside to remember loved ones that have died.
The thinking is clearly an attempt to remember to do something meaningful to raise funds for a relevant charity of ones choice.
Registration is €10 euro each or €30 for a family of 4.
The venue and race /walk route is from the Finn Valley Centre, Stranorlar start time 11 am with pre registration to donegal1@gmail.com.
The course which is fast and flat takes in the scenic surrounds of Drumboe Forest returning to Ballybofey via Glenfinn Road to finish on the Valley track.
In addition to the money raised for charity which is an individual/ family decision the registration fee goes towards underage athletics to support same and purchase sports hall equipment.
European boxing champion Jason Quigley has graciously agreed to be the event Patron. In a way its a link with the past and supporting the future a novel social event.
There will be refreshments afterwards.
