Sean Mac Cumhaills have secured another year in Division Two following their five point win over Cloughaneely earlier this afternoon. 
Mac Cumhaills were defeated by Naomh Muire last weekend and faced Cloughaneely in a winner takes all contest at Mac Cumhaill park today.
Mac Cumhaills were awarded the home advantage because they had finished ahead of Cloughaneely in the All-County Division Two league.
In a tough and tense match with a huge amount at stake Mac Cumhaills settled the better but were guilty of kicking a lot of opportunities wide.
They weren’t made to regret those missed chances though as they gained control in the second half and dominated the match with Marty Reilly being particularly impressive.
The current Donegal star was in devastating form and he scored half of his sides 14 point haul kicking seven scores with five coming from play.
They were the better side and won quite comfortably in end up winning by five points on a score-line of Mac Cumhaills 0-14 Cloughaneely 1-06.
Mac Cumhaills can now look forward to another year in Division Two but Cloughaneely now have to rebuild as they face the prospect of playing in Division Three next season.
